CercleS Executive Elections 2008

 

The elections of the new CercleS Executive Committee were being held during the last meeting of the Co-ordinating Committee at the 10th CercleS Conference in Seville in September 2008. The Offices of the President, the Secretary General, and the Treasurer along with those of their respective deputies (six offices in total) had to be filled.

Anyone who belongs to an institution with full membership of CercleS was eligible to stand for an office. Those holding associate membership had to be supported in their nominations by a full member. The voting rights of each national assocation in the elections were based on the number of full members in the year preceding the election year, i.e. in this case in 2007. For the number of votes in the 2008 elections please see the table below.
