Welcome from the President

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. Henry Ford.

Dear CercleS members and members-to-be,
Dear friends and colleagues,

Wherever you are and whatever university you represent please visit our web pages.
CercleS is a confederation of language associations representing academics, language teachers, specialists in intercultural communication and many others.
Our main activities include:

1. Standardization of services provided by universities,
2. Quality in teaching and research,
3. Assessment methods in different universities,
4. Networking and collaboration in Europe and beyond

If you would like to find more information about our activities as well as sharing your achievement in research with us, please read LLHE Journal which is published twice a year. Conferences, seminars, workshops and Focus Groups Meetings are examples of some activities all members are involved in. They share good practices so new methods of teaching and learning in different language centres can be implemented. CercleS is a confederation where many people meet and work together for the benefit of languages, interpersonal and intercultural communication. CercleS for me stands for:

C - cooperation with organizations and societies,
E - ethics in teaching and research,
R - research in applied linguistics,
C - common areas of interests,
L - leaders in teaching and learning,
E - enthusiasm in actions,
S - synergy

As Stephen Covey said, "Synergy is the highest activity of life; it creates new untapped alternatives; it values and exploits the mental, emotional, and psychological differences between people". Looking forward to meeting you soon.
