When the University of Groningen became the first partner in the Netherlands to join the British MOOC platform, FutureLearn, back in 2014, we barely knew about the existence of LMOOCs. A year later, we are proud to announce the third edition of our popular online course ‘Introduction to Dutch’, which will start on 2 November.
So far, over 50,000 learners from all around the world have studied the basics of the Dutch language through grammar videos, audio and quizzes, listening and speaking activities and writing assignments, and were also introduced to Dutch culture, particularly that of Groningen and its environs.
Our LMOOC will be offered again on 2 November. If you haven't done so already, we warmly invite you to come on board and learn our language with this free open online course. You will not only benefit from the experience of learning Dutch in a new and innovative way, but you might also help us to attract new students by announcing our course on your website and by sharing it through social media.
The Introduction to Dutch course begins on 2 November and lasts for three weeks. The course leads up to a lower beginners level, i.e. a lower A1 (CEFR). More information can be found on the website of FutureLearn: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/dutch
